About the Database

The PolyU Electronic Theses provides access to the full-text images of the doctoral dissertations and master's theses of the postgraduate students of the University, comprising works in both English and Chinese. It contains citations with abstracts and full-text images of the theses and dissertations.

Software Requirements

The Database is best viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 6.0 or above) using the Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 5.0 or above) which can be downloaded from the Adobe website.

Use of the Database

The Database is available for access by bona fide library users for the sole purpose of research or private study in compliance with the Copyright Ordinance.

Printed Theses Collection

The Database is updated regularly. Theses and dissertations which are not available in electronic version owing to copyright reasons or others, can be consulted at the Special Collections Counter on 4/F of the Library.

Acquisition of Printed Theses

Copies of theses and dissertations can be purchased through the Library, subject to copyright compliance. Purchases can be directed to the Special Collections of the Library (fax: (852)-2774-9402; email: lbsc@inet.polyu.edu.hk)

ProQuest Digital Dissertations

Doctoral dissertations of the University starting from 1998 are also available in the ProQuest Digital Dissertations to which our Library has subscribed.
